8 Muscle Building Secrets For 2009

8 Muscle Building Secrets For 2009 by Dean Caporella

Stress on the body is an issue many looking at beefing up their bodies face and in many cases, unknowingly. While you could spend a lot of time looking for shortcuts by searching for muscle building secrets the truth is, sticking with a sensible routine which includes exercise, diet and rest will serve you much better in the long run.

Looking for shortcuts in the area of muscle building has been a long time problem and while it's possible to achieve fast short term gain, going it alone just on the recommendation of those with little more experience than yourself is a dangerous practice.

Another fallacy is you need to continually lift heavy weights and yes, this will promote strong muscle growth but remember, there needs to be a horses for courses thinking as well. Many muscles in your body require lighter workouts and weights while others thrive on a heavier workload. Avoid working on the same group everytime you complete a routine and include sufficient rest periods in your program.

While secrets for building muscle are a dime a dozen, we've compiled eight commonsense things you need to be observing to lay a solid foundation for safe and sensible exercising.

8 Muscle Building Secrets You Need To Know

1. When starting a weight training program you must realize that it is extremely important that you take timeoff after a hard training session. Every time you lift weights you are tearing microscopic muscle fibers. You build muscle when you rest and when you give these muscle fibers time to rest.

2. You must rest at least every other day when starting a weight training program. Working less in some situations can help you build more muscle than if you work more.

3. Stretching is extremely important when you are starting to lift weights. It is vital that you stretch before a workout as well as after a workout. You can severely damage your muscles if you do not take the time to warm up and stretch properly. Your muscles are extremely delicate and it is important that you prepare them for weight lifting by stretching. Damaging your muscles is horrible because it can take months for them to fully heal.

4. In any successful muscle building program you must keep track of the exercises you do. This way you can increase the number of repetitions that you do and also the amount of weight you lift during each repetition.

5. Some people even take a pad of paper with them when they work out so they can write exactly what they do. As a result, the next time you work out you will know exactly what you did the last time.

6. It is usually more beneficial to you if you work out for a shorter period of time at a higher intensity. There is no need to go to the gym for hours upon hours every day because you really only need an intense hour to get the job done.

7. One of the secrets for building muscle is that it's ok to lift lighter weights. Lifting lighter weights with more repetitions is the same as lifting a heavier weight only a few times. This way there is less strain on your muscles and your workout is more enjoyable.

8. It is important that you keep a positive attitude about your training sessions. Many people dread going to the gym because of the physical toughness that it takes. When you go to the gym you should think about how great you are going to feel after you go. You could even think about how great your body is going to look in a few short weeks.

Get the secrets to building muscle fast. We've scoured every corner of the internet to find everything you ever wanted to know about building muscle quickly.

Can You Really Outsource Your Social Networking?

Can You Really Outsource Your Social Networking? by Meredith Eisenberg

I know that this sounds very funny at first. After all, you wouldn't send your secretary to attend your local Chamber of Commerce event. But, you might have her put the event on your calendar and send follow up thank you cards to the people you met there. She might set up a system for you to follow up with the people you met at the event. Social networking is the same way. There is no reason why you can't outsource a very large part of your social networking busy work so that you have more time to develop strong relationships with your clients.

Also, having as assistant do the work means that you will develop a system and post to your various communities more frequently.

Here are 7 Ways Your Assistant Can Help

1. Finding Potential Followers and Friends

Your assistant can easily build your network by looking at networks of people who are following the people in your community and sending friend requests. They can also keep up with automated contact managers like Plaxo to make sure that all of your contacts are connected to your network.

2. Responding To Friend Requests

Your assistant can take care of most of this for you once you have developed a template "thank you for being my friend" message. A good assistant can also tailor the template to suit the person who is getting the message. You can also develop a friend policy to help decide which requests to accept.

3. Connecting the Dots

Make Your Posts Do Double Duty A good assistant will be able to help you connect the various pieces of your social networking empire. Your blog posts can automatically show up on Twitter, your Twitter posts and Facebook profile can show up on your blog.... Etc. Once the connections are made, your networking becomes much easier and much more effective.

4. Strategic Posting

Your assistant can send tweets and post Facebook announcements about your events, when the event is about to start, etc. She can also publish information about your event in all of your different social networks. She can also programs like TweetLater to schedule your Tweets to occur when you are not at the computer.

5. Birthday Wishes

One of the most powerful ways to build personal relationships is to send birthday cards. Social networking tools like Plaxo and Facebook make this very easy. Your assistant can send either e-cards, or (even better) actual cards. Send Out Cards is a great way to send real cards. Your assistant types the message into the computer and the company mails a real card - for less than a dollar. You can try out Send Out Cards for free to see if it will work for you.

6. Keeping Up with Your Peeps

You an learn a lot about what is going on in the lives of your circle through social networking. Your assistant can be invaluable in keeping tabs on people so that you can build the relationship. She can scan the updates and let you know when clients have launched new products, had babies, gotten new jobs - so that you can send out personal congratulations.

7. Pimp Your Profile

A good assistant can make sure that your profiles (the social networking equivalent of your business card) are in tip top shape. She can add videos, links to other people, pictures from your latest trip and more. She can expand your empire by creating and updating profiles on different social networking sites. A good VA does this sort of thing for other clients too. Don't be afraid to rely on her expertise to help you keep up on what is new and important in the world of Social Networking.

So, start making an impression in the social networking world...hire a virtual assistant today.

Hundreds and thousands of organizations, small businesses, universities and enterprise organizations are using knowledge base software. Knowledge based software can be used to cater different needs of the organization that is using this software like:

Knowledge Base Software Features

There are number of knowledge base software are in the market and have many powerful functions. These functions may vary from one software application to other knowledge base software application. Tips On The Use Of Spices

Tips On The Use Of Spices by Amit Kheterpal

The way to a man's heart is through his stomach as they say. Well not only is this true for man it is true for everyone. Good tasting food is a must for it being palatable. Purely bland food is a tough nut to crack. You can have the bland food for a day and not more than that and will crave for something tastier than that.

Spices and herbs actually provide that very much needed taste to the food. Now for the spices to be added you need to make sure that the spices are fresh and also the adequate quantities to be added. Proper mix or proportion is very important for the addition of spices. Most of the spices come in the powdered form or in the leaves form.

For addition of spices in the food you need to know a few things. The first and foremost is what is called compatibility. This is to know what type of spices gel well with other spices. This is the same way as you should which wine goes with what kind of food.

Let us say for example if you are preparing fish then you need to know whether basil leaves will work well or not. For that the bets way is to understand the basic properties of each spice and condiment. Some are only used for providing color and garnish and some are added to kill original flavor and get a new flavor form the herb. Herbs are also used to help in digestion of a few dishes.

Less or more of spices both are dangerous and that is why make sure that you get the quantity right. Put in a wrong proportion and the food will whacked out of taste and flavor. There are enough websites out there in the internet world as well as there are enough recipe books to help you out. But take precaution as all these recipes are overly commercial types and if you need to cook the food in a home cooked style then you definitely need to rely on your instincts. Also take help of your friend or neighboring aunt for advice if you are not sure.

Packaging of spices is very important as that retains the freshness, taste and the flavor of the spices. So make sure that you buy spices of a good brand and once if you opened them make sure to close them properly or seal the mouth of the bottle or the pack correctly

Preventing Aging Skin. The Number 1 Concern Of Women Over 40

Preventing Aging Skin. The Number 1 Concern Of Women Over 40 by Peter Clark

Are you showing the signs of aging skin? Are you starting to research preventing aging skin symptoms? Are you worried about sagging skin, wrinkles, crows feet and lines on your face?

Should you accept these signs of aging skin as an inevitable part of aging, or are there things you can do about them?

Interesting question. There's no doubt that as we age our skin ages with us, and starts to show the signs of skin aging. We all get wrinkles, lines and sagging on our faces as we age,it's really just a question of when.

But "when" we get them is very important factor, and although there's no way to prevent aging skin from showing wrinkles and saggging, we can affect the "when" and prevent these from forming, or minimize them right into our later years.

But if we do nothing at all we are most likely to form these signs of aging skin much much younger. So by taking action we can do something, although it's not realistic to prevent these signs right into our 80s and 90s, well not unless our genetics are extremely good.

Lets look at how our skin ages and forms these signs we dislike so much like the wrinkling, sagging and lines. As we age our skin loses some of it's essential components like collagen and elastin. And collagen and elastin are extremely important to our skin health and structure. They do important things like keeping our skin firmer and more elastic and supple.

Remember when, if you pinched your skin and pulled and let go it would snap back into place? As you lose your collagen and elastin this ability to snap back, this elasticity, is gradually lost. If your skin can't "snap back" then it starts to sag. This forms the wrinkles and lines, and is perfectly normal. Loss of collagen and elastin is a normal part of aging for everyone.

Modern big brand skin care products and anti aging products attempt to tackle this by putting collagen and elastin into their bottles of facial creams and anti aging creams. Problem is, the molecules of these substances are too large, and don't penetrate the skin, so the collagen and elastin is just wiped off at the end of the day. Maybe it ends up on your pillow.

This is one of the major reasons why these big brand skin care products do very little. They sell well, because of the saturation TV advertising, but don't actually perform well. Or at all. And some can actually contain dangerous ingredients that can harm your skin, believe it or not.

So if you're interested in preventing aging skin and the signs of aging like wrinkles and sagging you can't do it with the big brand name products. But don't despair, there are solutions. There are small niche skin care companies that are doing excellent research into aging and in particular skin aging, and finding solutions. There are some fine products now coming onto the market that contain seriously good quality skin care ingredients.

Ingredients like Phytessence Wakame, from a Japanese seaweed that has been eaten by Japanese women for hundreds of years. Modern science has now discovered the ingredients in Phytessence Wakame that are so good for the skin and which explain why Japanese women have such great skin right into old age, and are able to put those active ingredients into top shelf products.

And modern skin care science has also discovered a way to extract keratin and use it in skin care products. You've probably heard of keratin in skin, it's an essential component of skin structure. Trafitionally keratin has been extracted from the horns and hooves of animals by using heat and acid, but this ruins the keratin. So kerating extracted this way is of no real use to the skin.

But recent breakthroughs have found a way to extract keratin from the wool of sheep without using heat or acid, and it produces an extremely effective form of keratin that is of real use to the skin.

Products like these are gradually becoming available and are being used in skin care products. But they aren't being used by the big brands, because they are too expensive and cut into profits. And if you're selling tons of skin care products because of the saturation TV advertising why ruin profits by making the products better at higher cost?

But there are niche skin care companies working hard on much higher quality skin care products that do wonders to prevent aging skin problems, and these companies, one in particular, has some extremely high quality anti aging products available right now. But because they can't compete with the advertising of the big brands it's unlikely you've heard of them.

So they market their products differently. They put their budget into the best quality products possible and offer a money back guarantee so that someone like you can try the products risk free to see how they work for you.

So if you're seriously interested in preventing aging skin problems there are skin care products around that help prevent the signs of aging skin that may be bothering you, like sagging and wrinkling. Find them and try them risk free and you'll be surprised at the difference they will make to your aging skin.

Alternative Fuel Vehicles - A Review of Hybrid, Hydrogen, Electric, E85, Biodiesel and CNG Vehicles

Alternative Fuel Vehicles - A Review of Hybrid, Hydrogen, Electric, E85, Biodiesel and CNG Vehicles by Taylor Turnstone

Alternative fuel vehicles are automobiles that are powered by fuels other than gasoline. There are many alternatives that are now being used and tested in order to decrease our dependency on fossil fuels. Some examples of alternative fuel vehicles include:

Hybrid - Hybrid vehicles are powered by both a combustion engine and an electric motor. Advanced technologies for hybrids include regenerative braking, assisted power generated by the electric motor, and the process of powering down when idling. Hybrid cars are one of the most popular alternative vehicles on the market today.

Electric - These vehicles use an electric motor and electric controls instead of the internal combustion engine. Some advantages to the electric car include very low maintenance and zero emissions. Electric cars also do not give off as much noise pollution as a normal car. Some disadvantages include limited travel distance before having to recharge and slow acceleration.

Hydrogen - Hydrogen vehicles convert hydrogen to power through either a modified version of the internal combustion engine, currently available on the market today, or via hydrogen fuel cells which are still in development. Some obstacles in the development of hydrogen fuel cells is cost, fragility of the cell itself and poor performance in freezing temperatures.

CNG (Compressed Natural Gas)- CNG vehicles run on compressed natural gas as opposed to gasoline. This kind of car is more environmentally friendly than a gasoline vehicle, and when compared to all the other alternative methods, is the safest. One complaint of CNG vehicle owners is the large fuel tank compared to that of conventional gasoline tanks, which limits trunk space.

Ethanol (e85)- E85 vehicles are powered by ethanol, a fuel made from corn and other natural products. These vehicles release no fossil based carbon dioxide. One disadvantage of this type of fueled car is that it is can be very difficult to start in cold weather. However, there are cold conversion kits on the market today that can eliminate this problem. Some people have simply added a couple gallons of gasoline to the tank prior to the cold season to eliminate the problem as well.

Propane - Propane vehicles are powered by propane fuel instead of gasoline. These vehicles are up to thirty percent less expensive than conventional gasoline vehicles to operate. Propane was approved by the 1990 Clean Air Act as an alternative fuel, and vehicles powered by propane produce thirty to ninety percent less carbon monoxide than gasoline engines.

Biodiesel - Vehicles that are powered by biodiesel are very similar to diesel vehicles in operation except for the fuel itself. Biodiesel vehicles can run on a combination of natural oil and an alcohol such as ethanol or methanol or exclusively on waste vegetable oil, from restaurant fryers or other food industries.

Limited petroleum sources combined with rising gasoline prices and consumer demand will encourage vehicle manufacturers to produce and develop alternative fuel vehicles. These vehicles, in the long run, will reduce transportation costs as well as benefit the environment.

How To Know If Network Marketing Is Right For You

How To Know If Network Marketing Is Right For You by John Meatte

If you are about to invest in a network marketing business but don't know if this venture is right for you, read this article before you sign up. First you must understand the difference between scam and opportunity. You must also realize the differences between the wide varieties of types of real opportunities.

You may think the following words have a lot in common or could even be used synonymously: Business, Multi-level Marketing, Training Opportunity, Home-based Business, Network Marketing, Massive Duplication. In truth, they are all very different in nature.

Not All Network Marketing Opportunities Are Created Equal

The wide variety of network marketing opportunities available may leave you thinking they're all the same; all scams. Many require large investments of money but have little training and support to help you succeed. Systems are great if they work for you but what do you do when they don't? Are you going to read numerous books on how to succeed in a home-based business for network marketing? It's not always easy to adapt to a one-size-fits-all approach to training.

In order to really see the profits in a network marketing business, it must first be an organization you believe in. You'll need a measure of faith in the credibility of the products that you intend to sell. This company must be one you can get excited about; one that offers such a great opportunity that you won't be able to stop talking about it.

You should feel eager to help others realize this same opportunity for their success. The training and support the company offers should leave you feeling energized with a burning desire to bring others on board.

Any entrepreneur will tell you it takes hard work to start a company. If you can imagine the rewards and benefits to your lifestyle; you're well on your way. If you are interested in making more money, designing your company around your life instead of the other way around; you're ready to start working for it. If you don't mind hard work, but like the compensation, network marketing may be the business of your dreams.

Imagine being able to travel or have leisure time. Think about how nice it would be to not be chained to a desk, but be your own boss. If you are self-motivated, possess extraordinary work ethics, and are committed to success, then network marketing might be right for you.

What Type of Home Business do I Need?

With so many network or MLM opportunities out there, you may be wondering how to choose the right one to fit your lifestyle. Look for a business that will serve your needs the best. Look for a company that listens to what you need instead of telling you what they want from you.

Make sure they are aligned with your lifestyle as well as your comfort zone of selling. Find out how their compensation plan works, what quotas they require and how much time it takes to see a return on your investment. Finding the ideal opportunity to fit your needs can be challenging but the rewards of a good match are endless.

The Cats Exercise Techniques

The Cats Exercise Techniques by Chris Jensen

Remember, in spite of the fact that you feed them if they see a rat they will still pounce instinctively and kill it. But house cats can sometimes become lazy and sleep their time off. There are certain exercise techniques that you can follow to keep them agile, awake and fit.

What Works? Cats can be a little trickier because the type of play that they engage in is different than that of dogs. Cats engage in either social play, which is the romp, wrestle, and chase that you see between litter mates or between cats living in the same household. Or they engage in object play, which is where they will stalk, pounce, chase and play with an object so they can kill it. Object play is what you should focus on when it comes to exercising your cat. There are many interactive type play toys on the market that work, and many can be found in pet supplies stores. Several of these are detailed later. Whatever game you and your cat enjoy will work, just remember to keep up the pace for fifteen minutes.

What are the benefits?

The benefits you will experience for a regular exercise routine are endless.

Pets who have had their bodies and their minds stimulated by regular play tend to act out problem behaviors less frequently. Your pet will be gaining social skills by interacting with you on a regular basis. The bond between you and your pet will be strengthened, creating an even happier home life for you both. You will get exercise right along side your pet. Your pet's health will be improved so that they can live a longer and healthier life

Here are a few exercise that your cat can do on a regular basis to keep fit. Apart from exercise, you should always take him to the vet whenever possible and get pet health check-up done. Pet supplies are also important because only if your cat eats well will he be able to stay fit through exercise. So assuming that you have the pet supplies and have got a pet health check-up done, here are some exercises:

Use a toy that is interactive for your cat and either has a rat tail or bird feathers. Move it like the rat or like a bird and see your cat leap and trying to catch it. This exercise is great for their predatory skills too.

Set up a box, and make tunnels that are soft-sided. These will be like small or mini obstacle courses that will not only help your cat get his quota of physical exercise and predatory skills but will keep him healthy and fit always. There are plenty of tunnels, small walls, boxes that can be made using cardboard. But remember if you are putting your cat through exercise then you need to feed him well too and hence always have ready pet supplies.

Cats like anything that moves even if it is a tennis ball or a yarn ball. Get a tennis ball for him and watch him play with it as the ball keeps moving. If you are lucky, you will get to see him play some serious soccer!

You can encourage your cat to scratch by using an interactive toy near a tall post. This will enable cats to stretch, which will help tone the muscles of their back and shoulders, and the overall pet health.

Toy balls on a slick surface floor can peek some kitties interest

Catnip toys can also aid in getting your cat into the game

Laser toys are a big plus with many cats (Though hazardous if pointed in the eyes)

As well as all of these techniques you can also create a fake tree inside your home or let your cat jump off the branches of a small tree in your garden. This kind of exercise will help him to improve his balance as well as co-ordination.

3 Reasons Why You Need to Know the Basics of Bookkeeping

3 Reasons Why You Need to Know the Basics of Bookkeeping by Tom Wheelwright

One area that almost all of my clients and prospects need to increase their knowledge on is bookkeeping. The issue? They don't understand the rules of bookkeeping. After all, they aren't accountants.

Most clients and prospects start out by asking what they should do with their bookkeeping. It's often followed by some nightmare story - they tried doing the bookkeeping themselves and it was a mess, or maybe their bookkeeper didn't get things quite right. Either way, it's an area that most are anxious to improve.

When I suggest to them that they study the basics of bookkeeping, they often give me a confused look. I know exactly what that look means: "Yuck! What could be more boring?" But what they usually ask out loud is "Why?"

Here is Why Every Business Owner (and Serious Investors) Needs to Know the Basics of Bookkeeping:

#1 - You Need to Check Your Bookkeeper's Work -
If you do use a bookkeeper, how do you know it is correct? You may think, well, that is my CPA's job! And yes, your CPA can make sure your bookkeeping is technically correct, but nobody knows the ins and outs of your business like you do, so you are much more likely to detect errors specific to your business than your CPA. Plus, you are able to detect errors much sooner since you are able to look at your accounting more frequently than your CPA.

#2 - It Can Save You Time -
Many people hire a bookkeeper, which can make a lot of sense - particularly for larger businesses. But what about smaller businesses - the ones where you spend just as much time (if not more) gathering information for your bookkeeper as you would if you entered it yourself?

It can make a lot of sense for these smaller businesses to do the bookkeeping themselves as it could take less time, particularly if banking and credit card transactions can be downloaded directly into the accounting program. BUT they need to know the basics before starting so they don't end up with a mess!

#3 - Your Reporting Depends On It -
Accurate bookkeeping is the foundation of being able to pull reliable reports from your accounting software. These reports impact the decisions you make, the accuracy of your tax returns and your ability to manage your business.

- You Don't Have to Be An Expert -
While business owners don't need to be experts at bookkeeping, I find that those who understand just the basics of bookkeeping are better able to streamline their bookkeeping and reporting, helping them make better business decisions.

Are you ready to learn the basics of bookkeeping?

Your First Tattoo...What To Expect

Your First Tattoo...What To Expect by Micheline Moreaux

Once you have decided on your particular design, the location of the tattoo on your body and have chosen the tattoo shop, you are pretty much ready to be inked. Always remember...when choosing a tattoo studio and artist, there is a checklist that should be performed. Asking the artist how long they have been with the tattoo studio, how long they have been tattooing and who they trained with is a must, as it must be taken into account that anyone can open up a studio with ink, a machine and a little money. It is the clients responsibility to do their own research and to not to be afraid of asking questions.

Essential when choosing a tattoo artist is to ask to see photographs representing the artists work. Most artists will take pictures of their work to keep in a portfolio to show future clients their skills as a tattooist. As a client you should make sure to peruse these books carefully as the tattoo artist can claim skills in drawing anything. The last thing you want is to have a poorly done representation of your tattoo permanently inked to your body.

In addition, the client should check the tattoo shop for easily cleanable surfaces inside as well as for modern sterilization equipment. Be aware that as a client, you are completely within your right to ask to see the sterilized, individually packaged equipment. The packaging for the tattoo equipment should be opened in front of you and if the equipment is already opened and laid out, new equipment should be requested.

The cleanliness of the tattoo shop is paramount. There should be no animals in the establishment or food and drink of any kind. These factors may sound obvious, but if you are a first time customer, you should be aware that a tattoo shop should be a sterilized environment and that it should present itself as professional and as clean as a medical facility.

Before the tattooing can start, the artist will usually ask the individual to fill out a form consenting that they are not pregnant, nursing, under the influence, among other things. Legal documentation of age will also be required. The area where the client is actually tattooed should be an entirely separate room situated away from waiting areas or other sections of the shop.

The tattooing process itself will begin with the artist making a stencil of the tattoo and placing it onto your skin. Once the location of the tattoo has been agreed to by you and the artist, the artist will take out new, individually packaged equipment and attach the needle to the machine. This machine injects ink into the skin using a cluster of needles that are soldered onto a bar and this bar is then attached to an alternating unit. The unit constantly and swiftly drives the needles to puncture the skin at a rate approximately 80 to 150 times a second. The tattoo artist is obliged to wash their hands before the procedure can begin and also prepare the area where the tattoo is to be placed by thoroughly washing it to prevent cross contamination. When the preparation is complete, the tattooist must wear gloves at all times, changing them frequently. During the procedure the artist should wipe the tattooed area frequently with a disposable towel or cloth. The outline of the design will be done first and the artist may change the needle or the whole machine itself when coloring in larger spaces of the tattoo if the design is large or where there is color involved in the tattoo.

How much does getting a tattoo hurt? It's true that everyone has a different threshold of pain. What one person considers not painful at all could be excruciating to another. Some people describe the feeling as a hot scratch. Some say it's annoying...like a bad sunburn. Most say it was not nearly as bad as they feared. Consider this...nearly everyone is nervous when they go to get a tattoo. It doesn't matter how many tattoos you already have, there is always a feeling of apprehension when you sit in the chair. This is your body's natural defense...endorphins. Your own endorphins will kick in and help to ease any pain or discomfort you may experience. The first minute is usually the worst, and then when you realize it doesn't hurt that bad, you calm down and the rest is a cake walk

Now that your new tattoo is finished and clean, it needs to be treated just like a wound. A protective layer of unguent (usually A&D ointment) will be applied to the tattoo to prevent invasion of airborne bacteria that can cause infection. Then a bandage will be applied, and it will be taped up to make sure it is secure. It is important that you keep this bandage on for the amount of time your artist instructs.

Your artist will now give you aftercare instructions. These should be given both verbally, and on a piece of paper for you to take home with you. It is very important that you listen and follow the instructions you are given. From this point on, it is your responsibility to make sure your tattoo is well taken care of. The artist cannot be blamed if you get an infection because you didn't follow their directions.

You are now the proud owner of a beautiful new tattoo. Before you walk out the door, be sure to thank your artist, and please don't forget to tip them. Show how much you appreciate their work and dedication. Refer your friends to them. When you go back for your next tattoo, you will have established a good relationship with your artist, and you can be assured they will be there to help you if you ever have any problems or questions in the future.
